getting ready to open: what preorder actually means

Quick update from behind the scenes: the Beniaho website is nearly ready, and we wanted to talk you through where things stand, especially if you have a preorder sitting in your basket.

Getting the shop preorder-ready

Over the last little while we have been building out the store properly: sorting the product pages, writing instructions that actually make sense, working out shipping, and making sure everything looks and feels like us. It has been a genuine learning curve, and preorders have been a big part of that. We wanted to be upfront about how they work here.

What preorder actually means

A couple of our listings are preorders rather than ready-to-ship stock: the Christmas Mystery Craft Box and our pilot Mystery Craft Box. Preordering secures your box and locks in the current price, but it is not the same as next-day stock. Here is the honest timeline for each:

  • Mystery Craft Box (Solo and Together editions): this is our very first pilot box. Preorders are dispatched on 15th September 2026. Dispatch is the day your box leaves us, not the day it lands on your doormat, so please allow the usual delivery time on top of that date.
  • Christmas Mystery Craft Box: preorder any of the four themes now (String Crafts, Art Crafts, Home Decor, or Jewellery) and your box will be dispatched on 30th November 2026, again with normal delivery time to follow after that.

We would rather tell you this plainly now than have anyone caught out in November wondering where their box is. Once dispatched, you will get the usual shipping confirmation so you can keep an eye on it.

Buying stock we already hold

Everything else in the shop, the ring and necklace kits, the crochet handbag kit, and so on, is stock we already hold and ships in our normal timeframe, no preorder wait involved.

What is still coming

A few kits are marked coming soon while we finish testing them, and our proper monthly subscription is in the works too. We will only switch things live once we are confident they are ready, rather than rushing to launch.

Thank you for bearing with us while we get everything sorted. It genuinely means a lot to have people preordering before the shop is even fully finished.
