Hello, and welcome to the very first BeniBlog post.
Beniaho didn't start with a business plan and a warehouse. It started with a stack of craft supplies, a kitchen table, and the idea that making something with your hands, ideally with someone you love sat next to you, is one of the best ways to spend an evening.
Learning our way through it
We'll be honest with you: we're figuring this out as we go. Setting up the store, choosing which kits to stock, photographing everything, writing instructions that actually make sense: every step has been a lesson. Some things we got right the first time. Plenty of things we didn't. We think that's worth sharing, because if you've ever wanted to start something of your own, you should know it doesn't have to be perfect before it begins.
Buying our first stock
Choosing our first kits meant a lot of testing. If a kit made us frustrated, it didn't make the cut. If it made us lose an evening without noticing, it went straight in. We wanted every box to feel complete: tools, materials, and instructions all included, nothing extra to hunt down before you can start.
What's on the shelves right now
Here's what you can order from us today:
- Ring Making Kits: in silver, gold and rose gold. Each one makes four wire-wrapped bead rings, and they're a brilliant first jewellery project (or a very good date night).
- Necklace Making Kit: makes three necklaces, no tools needed. Simple, satisfying, and very giftable.
- Crochet Handbag Kit: a two-tone shoulder bag in chunky t-shirt yarn. Beginner friendly, with sizes for crafting solo or with friends.
- Mystery Craft Boxes: a surprise kit, in Solo and Together editions, for people who like the choosing done for them.
- Christmas Craft Boxes (preorder): festive themed boxes you can reserve now, ready for the season.
What's coming
We've got more kits in the works: new crafts we're testing and refining before they earn a place in the shop. We won't say too much yet (partly for the surprise, partly because we're still gluing things to other things), but keep an eye on the Kits page. When something new is nearly ready, you'll see it marked coming soon.
Come along for it
This blog is where we'll share what we're learning, what we're making, and the occasional behind-the-scenes mess. Thanks for being here at the start. It means more than you know.
